Dr. Rath was born in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1955. After finishing medical school he served as a doctor and researcher at the University Clinic in Hamburg, Germany and the German Heart Center in Berlin.
His examination centered on the problems of arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular illness.
In 1987, he found the link between vitamin C deficiency and a further risk factor for heart condition- lipoprotein(a).
Following discovery of these study verdicts in the American Heart Association journal “Arteriosclerosis,” Dr. Rath received an offer to join in 2 time Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling.
In 1990 she went to the USA to become the leading Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Linus Pauling Institute in Californa.
Dr. Rath worked alonfsite with the late Nobel Laureate in many fields of nutritional science.
The two experts became close friends who shared common values, including their decision for unity and fairness. In 1994, soon before his departure, Linus Pauling stated: “There is no doubt in my mind that I was thinking about Dr. Rath as my successor.”
