419 Scam: A Disclaimer!

It has come to the attention of the Dr. Rath
Health Foundation Africa, and the general
public that some persons are parading themselves
as Dr. Mathias Rath of Dr. Rath
Research Institute in California, USA. In the
same breath, these individuals within the
Nigeria and Republic of Benin axis offer
gullible members of the public the
Foundation’s license, thus enabling these
unsuspecting citizens to think they have authorisation
to sell our micronutrients programs.
For the avoidance of doubt, let it be made
abundantly clear that the Dr. Rath Health
Foundation Africa is a non-profit and nongovernmental
organisation dedicated to the
promotion of science based natural health
approaches as a solution to health care problems.
We do not offer licenses to people for
the purposes of selling our micronutrients.
Our Pilot Program in South Africa
The pilot program in South Africa showed that
vitamins and a combination of other micronutrients
could effectively reverse the AIDS
symptoms. The dramatic results of this program
have been published worldwide, including
the New York Times and the Guardian
amongst others.
It is this program that we have made available
to governments of Africa in partnership with
community based organisations active in the
fight against the elimination of all forms of
diseases through effective natural health
approaches. Latching upon the overwhelming
success of the micronutrient
program, these chicaneries are creating
confusion in the minds of well meaning
people through the offering of non- existent
liscences.
The 419 scam as a social
malady and a construct
We have consistently maintained that the
economic and social malaise sweeping
across Africa and the developing world
today is a direct consequence of the diabolically
exploitative economic and
political systems imposed on poor countries
by the USA, UK and other predatory
G8 countries. The fault-lines as well
as the accompanying repercussions of
419 scams and other forms of scams lies
squarely at the door steps of multinational
national companies and their political
executors who have colluded in raping
Africa of its huge human and natural resource
base. While commending the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for
working round the clock to get rid of fraudsters
in Nigeria, we make bold to state
unequivocally that the great scammers are
the multinational pharmaceutical companies
who are deliberately selling deadly
toxic and patented AIDS drugs to our people.
These are the corporate thieves deceiving
Africans into believing that their ineffectual
and expensive therapies offer hope for
AIDS victims. In reality, they continue to
spend billions of dollars bribing African
governments to adopt the ARV regime as
the only competent measure for addressing
this epidemic. In truth they have turned our
bodies into their marketplace of business
with disease.
Invitation to join the Alliance for Health,
Peace and Social Justice
The emancipation of humankind starts with
total liberation of health of the individual. The
Alliance regards itself as a global movement
which aims to create a healthy, peaceful and
just world. This movement unites peoples of
all nations, cultures, races and creeds.
For decades we have relied on national and
international political institutions that promised
to help create such a world. At the beginning
of the 21st century, however, we are
forced to recognise that we are further than
ever from establishing a healthy, peaceful and
just world. The greatest obstacles to attaining
these goals and enshrining them as fundamental
human rights are vested petrochemical and
pharmaceutical interest groups that regard the
planet as their property and us, the inhabitants
of this planet, as their market place.
Political leaders in many countries are little
more than agents acting for global multinationals,
sacrificing people’s fundamental
rights to these vested interest groups. The
globalisation of company groups, and the
expanding dominion of their financial interests,
directly affect and endanger the lives of
all people on our planet:
- Millions of people throughout the world die
of diseases that might long since have been
eradicated. The appalling fact that these diseases
continue to exist in epidemic proportions
is solely due to one cause alone: such
illnesses serve as markets for a multi-billion-
dollar pharmaceutical investment
industry.
- Millions of people in industrialised countries
live without work and in dire poverty.
In addition, in the developing world, hundreds
of millions of people live in inhuman
conditions of hunger, malnutrition and illiteracy.
All this misery has a common cause:
the unjust distribution of our planet’s wealth
and resources.
- The whole of humanity is
increasingly under threat from crises
and wars that arise chiefly from the
greed and interests of multinational
groups seeking to consolidate the
unjust distribution of wealth by political
and military means.
We, the people, have grown aware that
it is not by chance that fundamental
human rights to health, peace and
social justice are not yet enjoyed by all
our planet’s inhabitants. We have also
realised that if we, our children and
grandchildren wish to live in such a
world, we must take responsibility for
it now.
To attain this goal, we invite you to
join us and take responsibility for the
creation of a new world sustained by
the people and working for the people.
